On the occasion of IDWGS, we recall a recent initiative by the Femmes & Sciences association. The Eiffel Tower celebrates science with the names of 72 French scientists, all men, inscribed in gold letters all around its first level. On January 26, 2026, the proposal of 72 women scientists’ names to be added on a frieze just above the existing one was unveiled. You can find more details, for example, at the following links:
